The Black Horse, set in the heart of Whitby's old town, is a traditional two bar pub offering a fine selection of cask ales, wines and ciders. These are complimented by a tapas menu and a variety of snuff.
As one of the oldest pubs in Whitby, The Black Horse has a varied history. A pub since the 16th century, it has also been used as a funeral directors, spirit warehouse, and brothel.
The selection and quality of the real ales has given The Black Horse CAMRA recognition and Cask Marque accreditation.
